We would not recommend cutting our standard sized or traditional coir matting yourself as the edges will need re-stitching or bonding together or the coir fibres will start falling away.
If you would like to cut the coir matting yourself, you should purchase the PVC backed coir matting. PVC backed coir can be cut using a Stanley knife as the fibres are bonded to the PVC backing not the other coir fibres.
